Review of challenged ballots in Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race

Filed under: Events, News — Chuck Lucas WHS 1959 @ 4:59 pm

I’m sitting here listening to and occasionally watching the live feed of the Canvassing Board’s review of challenged ballots in MN’s U.S. Senate race. What a fascinating process and moment in MN history. The process is laborious but, in my opinion, it’s working. If you’re interested in following it yourself, here’s the link to the Star Tribune’s live feed while the Canvassing Board is in session:

  1. The final MN Senate race tally going into Monday is a 249 vote Franken lead. Left to deal with are the Absentee Ballots that weren’t counted but should have been counted – there could be 1500 or more of those. It’s not over yet but it’s getting closer. I wonder if what’s happening here has any resemblance to what happened in Florida in 2004. I doubt it.
